Scholarships & Grants

"Scholarships and Grants totaling over $200,000 have been awarded to local students since this program began in 2005. Originally designed for giving to graduates of San Pasqual Academy (residential high school for foster teens), this program has expanded to include graduates of other high schools as well as two colleges.

Recognizing the pressing financial needs were not just the province of foster students, the program expanded to address and support students at Orange Glen High School and nursing programs at both Palomar College and Cal State San Marcos. These nursing students, with support from our grants, are actively pursuing careers in nursing and health related fields. Each year, promising students are selected from schools enabling them to purchase books, clothing, transportation, and tuition assistance for continuing their education.

When their voices echoed, "I want to be someone"; it is our chapter that responded. They continue today with their education and careers, enriching our community as educators, leaders and citizens.

We remain grateful for the generosity of Matt McLaughlin whose support of our program since its inception allowed it to expand and flourish and to the members of Assistance League of Inland North County who choose to never turn their back on those seeking to fulfill dreams and enrich their lives.
