WE DO COUNT: In the year 2008/2009, 149 Assistance League of Inland North County members gave 24,352 hours of service to inland North San Diego County communities. Assistance League returned nearly $224,000 to help meet special needs of area residents. Six philanthropic programs operated by volunteers touched the lives of 4,810 children and adults. The value of volunteer time has been set at $20.58 per hour by the U.S. Department of Labor, translating into an additional $501,164 generated by the chapter's membership.
